Great Service from Marshall Fleet Solutions Keeps Fleets Moving

Cambridge, 24th February 2010; Despite the coldest winter weather for decades staff at Marshall Fleet Solutions would be basking in the warm feeling of a job well done - if they weren't so busy.

Figures, just out, show that during January Marshall Fleet Solutions achieved its highest monthly number of commercial vehicle equipment repairs and services across the UK to date. These included 2,598 jobs on tail lift and commercial repairs and a staggering 3,771 on transport refrigeration units!

80% of the jobs were undertaken at customers' premises or at the roadside, while other operators took advantage of planned repair and maintenance routines offered as part of a Fleet Maintenance Contract. Scheduled work under these programmes was carried out at Marshall Fleet Solutions' service centres or at customers' sites.

Such impressive numbers, which make Marshall Fleet Solutions one of the largest trailer fleet support organisations in the UK, gives an insight into the company's unique capabilities. These include a network of over 160 mobile engineers working out of 15 service centres, each monitored by live vehicle tracking, providing a true 24/7 response service.

The engineering skills deployed include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel, air conditioning and temperature control repair and maintenance. Each engineer is tasked from Marshall Fleet Solutions' own constantly manned Customer Service Centre in Cambridge, which currently co-ordinates over 75,000 service responses each year.

Speaking of the January workload figures Peter Callaghan, Chief Executive of Marshall Land Systems, Marshall Fleet Solutions' parent organisation said: "In view of the really atrocious weather conditions around the country the fact that over 6,000 service and repair events were successfully carried out by our mobile engineers speaks volumes for their skill, dedication and sheer determination - it's a level of performance that everyone within the company can take real pride in."
