Social and Environmental Responsibility
Local Activities
The Marshall Group is fully aware of its social responsibility to the community and actively contributes towards fundraising activities and supporting local events. Marshall recognises that sustainability and caring for the environment are integral parts of being a successful business. The Group’s stance and policy on this vital area is directed by Sir Michael Marshall, Chairman and Chief Executive of Marshall of Cambridge (Holdings) Ltd, who actively participates in the Group Environmental Committee. Marshall Land Systems maintain this ethos by employing dedicated environmental advisors and encouraging all members of staff to pay attention to environmental issues and to participate in worthy causes both at and away from work.
Centenary Celebrations
In 2009 Marshall celebrated its Centenary. A vast amount of time and resources were invested into organising an array of interesting, challenging and entertaining events for stakeholders to enjoy. All members of staff were invited to get involved organising and participating in the events. Marshall is extremely proud of its numerous employees who gain national recognition for a combination of their work for the Group and within the community. During the Centenary celebrations, a particularly momentous occasion was a visit from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
